denyhosts software package provides Utility to help sys admins thwart SSH crackers, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install denyhosts
denyhosts is installed in your system.
Make ensure the denyhosts package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep denyhosts *
You will get with denyhosts package name, version, architecture and description in a table
